Construction production volume in Romania up 9.2pct nine months into 2025

Construction production volume in Romania in the first nine months of 2025 was up year-on-year by 9.2% seasonally adjusted, according to data with the National Institute of Statistics (INS) released on Thursday.

Capital repair works and new construction works increased by 49.9% and 6.8%, respectively. Current maintenance and repair works decreased by 5.1%. By construction objects, increases were recorded in construction of civil engineering works (+10.9%), residential buildings (+9.8%) and non-residential buildings (+5.%).

In September 2025, compared with September 2025, construction production volume increased seasonally adjusted by 4.7%, as highlighted in capital repair works (+61.2%) and new construction works (+1.2%). Maintenance and current repairs decreased by 2.5%.

By construction objects, construction production increased in non-residential buildings (+28.1%), and residential buildings (+21.4%). A decrease of 3.1% was reported in construction of civil engineering works.

From one month to another (September vs August 2025) construction production was up 7.7% seasonally adjusted.. AGERPRES
