Contracts worth 1 bln-plus euros signed under NRRP for construction rehabilitation, local projects, nurseries

Minister of Development Cseke Attila announced that 437 contracts worth a total of 5,262,797,951.55 RON have been signed up until now under the „Renovation Wave”, „Local Fund” and „Education” programs of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), according to Agerpres.

„The NRRP-funded components managed by the Ministry of Development are successful, a fact proven by the high number of applications submitted. This is a transparent, well-prepared program, so that the beneficiaries quickly and efficiently accessed the funds and here we are, with contracts worth over one billion euros already signed,” Cseke Attila said on Thursday, as cited in a release.

As many as 178 contracts worth a combined 3,295,772,789.12 RON have been signed as part of the „Renovation Wave” initiative, for energy efficiency works, seismic and fire safety of apartment blocks and public buildings.

There are 140 contracts signed under the „Local Fund” component, worth a total of 195,266,333.39 RON, for the creation of intelligent local management systems, bike lanes, the purchase of electric means of transport and charging stations for electric vehicles, the construction of housing for youth and service homes for specialists, as well as the creation of documentation for territorial development and urban planning.

Also, 119 contracts worth a combined 1,771,758,829.04 RON have been signed for the construction of new, energy-efficient nurseries, the release states.
