A crisis cell has been established at the Ministry of Health to ensure coordinated response efforts with the Department for Emergency Situations – the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the managers of emergency hospitals, following the explosion that occurred on Friday morning in Sector 5.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of available ICU beds is being assessed, and coordination of human and material resources is underway.

Two people have died and several others were injured, mainly suffering from multiple trauma and burns, after several flats were affected by the explosion in the residential block.
