Dan Barna emphasized that the USR will not support a government in which the PSD retains its influence. The statement by the former USR president comes as President Nicușor Dan is expected to appoint Romania’s new prime minister, according to realitatea.net.
According to Barna, the party will not accept a setup in which the PSD continues to control important decisions within the administration.
When asked about the possibility of supporting a government led by Eugen Tomac, he stated that the USR is willing to consider any governing option, but without the Social Democrats.
