On Wednesday, National Defence Minister Ionut Mosteanu drew attention to a fake video circulating on social media in which Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announces that Romania is entering the war.

The minister urged the population to obtain information only from credible sources.

„A gross fake video is circulating on social media these days, especially on TikTok, in which Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan says that Romania is going to war. It is a gross fake generated with artificial intelligence,” Mosteanu conveyed on a video message published on his Facebook page.

„For everything related to defence, the most reliable source is the website of the National Defence Ministry – www.mapn.ro. I assure you that the Romanian Army is doing its duty responsibly for the security of the country and for the safety of each and every one of you,” Mosteanu added.
