National Defence Minister Ionut Mosteanu carried out a meeting with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, with discussions focusing on the participation of Romanian companies in the reconstruction of the neighboring country and cooperation in the defence area.
„A productive meeting with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. We continued the talks about the development of economic and industrial cooperation in the defence area and the participation of Romanian companies in Ukraine’s reconstruction,” Ionut Mosteanu wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
According to the minister, „Ukraine’s reconstruction will bring economic benefits to both countries.”
„It is a great opportunity for Romania: Romanian companies will be able to participate in projects worth millions of euro, which will rebuild Ukraine and strengthen our economy. Putin brought war and destruction. Together with our partners, we will bring reconstruction, cooperation and peace. The solidarity showed today to Ukraine is an investment in the European and secure future of our region,” Mosteanu also conveyed.
