The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA) is reinforcing seven new objectives through the national programme for the consolidation of buildings with high seismic risk, after Minister Cseke Attila signed the financing contracts that ensure the financial resources for these investments.
Thus, according to a press release sent to AGERPRES, the Ministry of Development will allocate nearly 100 million lei for the consolidation and improvement of energy performance at five residential buildings in Sector 3 of the Capital, over 12 million lei for the consolidation and thermal rehabilitation of a residential building in the commune of Varfuri (Dambovita County), and also over 2 million lei will be allocated for the integrated rehabilitation of the Local Council building in the commune of Dracsenei (Teleorman County).
„Through the four seismic consolidation programmes created in 2022-2023, we already have 103 projects underway that target the seismic safety of residential buildings and public buildings, and, through European funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, we will consolidate another 39 residential buildings and 165 public buildings,” Minister Cseke Attila is quoted in the press release as saying.
Since January 28, Romania has the first map of administrative-territorial units targeted by seismic risk, which will be able to request funding from the ministry for building consolidation, according to the source.
