Dozens of towns in several counties, affected by storms

Firefighters intervened on Tuesday in the counties under the incidence of bad weather codes, the meteorological phenomena affecting 31 localities from 14 counties, according to an information from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU).

These are the counties of Bistrita-Nasaud, Caras-Severin, Covasna, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iasi, Maramures, Neamt, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timis, Vaslui, Botosani.

Firefighters evacuated water from 21 houses, 11 cellars (4 public institutions), 35 yards, from two economic agents and removed several fallen trees, four cars being damaged.

Road traffic was temporarily blocked on DJ (County Road, ed. n.) 681, in Timis county, due to a landslide and the accumulated alluvium on the road, IGSU mentions.

According to the cited source, a special situation occurred in the Moldova Noua locality, in the southwestern Caras-Severin county, where the stage placed in the courtyard of the cultural center was blown away by the wind, damaging the roof of a house. No casualties were recorded.
