Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness Roxana Minzatu will be in Bucharest on Monday and Tuesday, on her first official visit in this capacity.
According to the Representation of the European Commission in Romania, on Monday, Roxana Minzatu will have meetings with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the Minister of European Investments and Projects, Marcel Bolos, the Minister of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, Simona Bucura-Oprescu, the Minister of Education and Research, Daniel David, and the head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat.
The discussions will focus on the main priorities of the new European Commission, including in the areas of employment, social rights and EU-funded education programs in Romania, as well as crisis preparedness.
On Tuesday, she will meet with President Klaus Iohannis and will have talks with Senate President Ilie Bolojan, and Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Ciprian Serban.
The official visit will include a trip to the „Harap-Alb” Center in Bucharest, an integrated social services unit for children with disabilities, co-financed through the European Social Fund.
