Education Minister says all diplomas and certifications will contain qualification levels

Published on

All diplomas and certifications issued in Romania following educational processes will have passed qualification levels starting with the new school year, announced on Monday the Minister of Education and Research, Daniel David.

„From now on, all diplomas and all certifications that are given in the country following educational processes – formal education, non-formal education, informal education or other professional training processes – all diplomas will have the qualification level marked on them. We automatically have one of the eight qualification levels marked on them. There are eight qualification levels. When you have the qualification level marked on your diploma, when you have taken that diploma to any country in the European Union, no one will ask you to prove your qualification level with other papers and other evidence, but it is clearly visible on the diploma and this means that access to the labor market is much simpler,” explained David in a press conference at the Government.

The minister argued that this approach will help Romanians who want to work in European countries to integrate much more easily into the labor market, avoiding a bureaucratic process of certification and confirmation of studies completed in the country.
