Education Ministry launches ‘Vasile Parvan’ (Rome), ‘Nicolae Iorga’ (Venice) postgraduate and postdoctoral scholarships

The Education Ministry launched on Monday, through the Study Loans and Scholarships Agency, the ‘Vasile Parvan’ and ‘Nicolae Iorga’ postgraduate and postdoctoral research and training scholarships program at the Accademia di Romania in Rome, and the Istituto Romeno di Cultura e Ricerca Umanistica in Venice, respectively, a release informs.

150 months of scholarships will be granted in 2025, with the scholarship stints starting after January 1, 2025.

„The disciplines eligible for scholarships are the following: history and social sciences, archaeology, archival science, librarianship, classical and modern philology, art history and architecture, literature and literary studies, arts, economic sciences, and exact sciences,” the cited source said.

The EUR 800 a month scholarship is granted for a minimum period of 2 consecutive months and a maximum of 2 consecutive academic years.

Also, the Foreign Affairs Ministry ensures free accommodation for the scholars at the Accademia di Romania in Rome or at the Istituto Romeno di Cultura e Ricerca Umanistica in Venice, as well as access to the study and research space of the two institutions.
