EduMin Deca attending early childhood education conference in Chisinau

Romania’s Education Minister Ligia Deca is attending a conference in Chisinau, Moldova, called „A bright future beyond borders: investing in early childhood education and care” organised by UNICEF Moldova, Romania and the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, in collaboration with the LEGO Foundation.

According to the Ministry of Education, the conference aims to develop a common vision and a deep understanding of the importance of quality early childhood education and care systems, including essential elements, such as learning through play, strengthening partnerships and facilitating knowledge exchange to accelerate the development of quality early childhood education and care systems in Moldova and Romania.

The event will also present successful approaches to the inclusion and integration of Ukrainian refugee children in Moldova and Romania.

The conference is attended by government officials from Moldova and Romania, as well as representatives of academia, development partners in the field of early childhood education and care, international agencies and civil society.
