The European Day of Languages reminds us how precious is the openness offered by learning a foreign language and the importance of discovering variety through words and belonging to the European family, the Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, said on Thursday.

„Encourage children to learn foreign languages, because they will have access to a precious way to discover cultures and traditions directly! The European Day of Languages, which we celebrate today, reminds us how precious the openness that it offers learning a foreign language. More than that, it reminds us of the importance of discovering variety through words and belonging, so important for our country, to the European family,” Deca wrote on Facebook.

She thanked the teachers who teach foreign languages and who teach children the importance of the „openness” that knowing them offers.

„Thank you to the teachers who teach foreign languages and who teach children every day the importance of the openness that speaking them offers! Thanks to those who have chosen professions related to the linguistic field”, stated the Minister of Education.
