Emergency Situations’ head Raed Arafat, to meet Washington experts in emergency situations management

The head of the Department of Emergency Situations, secretary of state Raed Arafat, begins a visit to the United States of America on Monday, where he will meet with experts from the field of emergency management, according to an announcement published on Monday on the Facebook page of the Romanian Embassy in the USA, write Agerpres.

On the occasion of the visit, senior official Raed Arafat will also meet with experts from the field of emergency and disaster management, from the strategic reflection and expertise environment, as well as from the academic environment, within an event organized by the Romanian Embassy in the USA.

The senior official’s visit to the USA is made to attending, as a lecturer, the events occasioned by the spring meetings organized by the World Bank to promote a banking instrument that allows the government of a country affected by a natural disaster to quickly access the funds necessary for recovery, the Romanian Embassy in the USA.
