Energy regulator approves payment of 10.8 billion RON to energy suppliers

The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) verified and sent for settlement from the state budget, for energy suppliers, according to the government emergency ordinances 118/2021 and 27/2022, an amount of over 10.8 billion RON, ANRE informs in a statement, Agerpres informs.

Thus, regarding OUG 118/2021 (November 2021 – March 2022), 80 companies submitted 345 applications, of which 288 were approved, 55 being considered ineligible. The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy for settlement is 2.412 billion RON, the total requested amount being 2.422 billion RON.

Based on OUG 27/2022 (April 2022 – March 2023), 89 companies submitted 908 applications, 253 applications for domestic customers and 402 for non-domestic customers being approved. A number of 13 applications for domestic customers were declared ineligible.

The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy, non-domestic customers, is 5.15 billion RON, and that sent to ANPIS, domestic customers is 3.25 billion RON, in total being sent for settlement an amount of almost 8.4 billion RON.

Currently, 240 applications submitted for settlement are being analyzed, they are in different stages of analysis, and as the operators upload the data and supporting documents requested by the assigned experts, their verification and eligibility will be carried out with maximum operativeness, stated Dumitru Chirita, ANRE president.
