Energy regulatory authorities in Romania and Moldova sign action plan for 2023

An official delegation of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), led by the chairman of the institution, Dumitru Chirita, paid a working visit to the National Agency for Energy Regulation of the Republic of Moldova in Chisinau, between January 26-28, 2023, on which occasion Dumitru Chirita and his Moldovan counterpart Veaceslav Untila, general director, signed the Action Plan for the year 2023 between the two institutions in accordance with the Cooperation and Assistance Program, signed on September 26, 2019, ANRE announced , according to Agerpres.

In this context, between February and December 2023, mutual working visits and online meetings with specialists from the regulatory authorities will be organized.

„The topics of the meetings will mainly concern aspects related to the monitoring and reporting of the quality of electricity and natural gas transmission and distribution services provided by the system operators, as well as the exchange of information regarding the publication of privileged information and the prohibition of market manipulation of energy,” the press release states.

According to the source, the action plan will contribute to boosting the exchange of information and consultations on topics related to the implementation of the European Union’s acquis communautaire by the National Agency for Energy Regulation of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the adoption of the best regulatory practices.
