Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu said on Monday at the Senate that while the outcome of the vote on the simple motion against her was not surprising, she would not give in, resign, or allow herself to be blackmailed with her position.
„The result of the vote on the motion is not surprising. I went to Parliament because I truly believe that all necessary information needs to be provided. Clearly, this motion was not aimed at finding solutions but solely at manufacturing scapegoats to target certain individuals on this issue. I have stated very clearly from the outset: I will not give in, I will not resign, and under no circumstances can I be blackmailed with my position,” Minister Buzoianu specified.
The simple motion against the Environment Minister was adopted on Monday by the Senate plenary, with 74 votes in favour, 43 against, and one abstention. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan was also present during the debate. AGERPRES
