President of the women’s organization of the European People’s Party (the EPP Women) and Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) MP Biro Rozalia-Ibolya, handed to the Ambassador of Ukraine the „Final Declaration” drafted within the EPPW Autumn Academy, in Cluj, a call for solidarity to all EU states to come together in order to provide immediate support to Ukraine ahead of the winter, according to Agerpres.
„We support the initiative of the European Commission for each member state to ensure, within the limits of possibilities, what is necessary to the Ukrainian people, with the arrival of winter,” deputy Biro Rozlia read from the declaration, encouraging the EU states to express their solidarity with Ukraine through humanitarian aid and immediate medical care.
The head of the UDMR’s Foreign Policy Committee, MP Biro Rozalia, proposed to Ukraine’s Ambassador to Romania Ihor Prokopchuk, the start of a series of actions and bilateral partnerships taking into account the reconstruction of Ukraine after the calamities caused by the war.
Within the meeting, Ambassador Ihor Prokopchuk stated that, regarding the bilateral agenda, there is much to discuss, however, the dynamic has changed, considering the situation in his country, which remains tense, with a population seriously affected by the consequences of this unjustified war.
Deputy Biro Rozalia reiterated Romania’s firm support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Both sides agreed to continue a permanent and concrete dialogue.
