Eugen Tomac, the prime minister-designate, denied that he might resign before the parliamentary vote. 

“There is a rumor circulating that I intend to resign tomorrow, following an alleged lack of support from political parties.

This is FALSE! The mandate I received with honor and responsibility from President Nicușor Dan is to form the Government, and, of course, I will see this process through until the parliamentary vote.

This is the natural course of action, in line with my principles.

I am confident, however, as I have stated every time after consultations, that the vote will be favorable. All those who are spreading divisive speculation have no basis for their claims, and I therefore call for vigilance.

We need, more than ever, to remain united and focused on the same goal: forming the government and securing the vote of confidence,” Tomac says in a Facebook post.
