European Transport Commissioner Valean to attend EPP Congress in Bucharest

AGERPRES special correspondent Tudor Martalogu reports: European Transport Commissioner Adina Valean will participate in the European People’s Party (EPP) Congress taking place in Bucharest on March 6 – 7.

On Tuesday evening Valean will attend the opening of the EPP official events, addressing alongside EPP President Manfred Weber and MEPs Rares Bogdan and Siegfried Muresan the dinner organized for the EPP MEPs, regional delegates and Romanian officials.

On Wednesday, together with the Vice-President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography Dubravka Suica and MEP Dolors Montserrat, leader of the Spanish delegation of the European People’s Party Group in the European Parliament, the European Commissioner will back a joint resolution on rural mobility.

In addition to rural mobility, the document tackles the competitiveness of the European agricultural sector and the active demographic growth in rural areas. This resolution will be debated and voted on at the EPP Congress.
