Exceptional results at European Fitness Bodybuilding Championships confirm value of team

The Vice President of the National Sports Agency (ANS), Gabriel Toncean, said on Monday, at the return of the Romanian delegation from the European Fitness Bodybuilding Championships in Santa Susana (Spain), where they won 105 medals, that the exceptional results confirm the value of the national team and the determination of the athletes.

„For the third year in a row, Romania has managed to rank first in Europe. Our country’s anthem has been played 53 times in the competition hall in Santa Susana/Spain. The exceptional results obtained by the Romanian athletes confirm once again the value of the national team, the determination of the athletes and the cohesion of all the factors involved in the FRCF activity,” said Gabriel Toncean, according to the official Facebook page of the Romanian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness.

Romania garnered 105 medals: 53 gold, 32 silver and 20 bronze in Santa Susana.

In the ranking by nation, Romania collected 119 points in bodybuilding, 111 in fitness, 161 in masters and 148 in juniors. In the end, the athletes of the Romanian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness accumulated 539 points and became European champions by nation. Slovakia and Ukraine ranked next.
