EXCLUSIVE – ANSVSA President, to ECOPOLITIC, after the signing of protocols in Beijing on dairy and fish exports: We manage to break the ice on the Chinese market!

SPECIAL ECOPOLITIC CORRESPONDENT IULIAN IONESCU REPORTS: ANSVSA President Alexandru BOCIU told ECOPOLITIC exclusively, after the signing of the protocols in Beijing, which will make possible the export of Romanian dairy and fish products to the Chinese market, that we manage to break the ice on the Chinese market after many years.

New opportunities have opened up for food exports to China

Two protocols signed today in Beijing will make it possible to export Romanian dairy and fish products to the Chinese market.

A delegation from our country is in the Chinese capital between June 30 and July 4 to expand the economic cooperation partnership between the two countries.

The President of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority, Alexandru Bociu, signed the Protocol for dairy products exported from Romania to the People’s Republic of China and the Protocol on inspection, quarantine and sanitary requirements for wild aquatic products intended for export from Romania to the People’s Republic of China.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the signing of the Joint Declaration on the establishment of a broad partnership of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Between 21-22 April, the President of ANSVSA, Mr. Alexandru BOCIU received a delegation from the People’s Republic of China, consisting of representatives of the General Administration of Customs, led by Mrs. Lyu WEIHONG, Vice-Minister.

Vice-Minister Lyu WEIHONG, during her visit to Romania, had discussions, in addition to the main theme of cooperation between the two countries in the customs field, on topics related to sanitary and phytosanitary procedures, respectively market access for agricultural products.

In this context, on April 21, the President of ANSVSA accompanied the Chinese delegation on a visit to a cattle farm and a milk processing plant in Prahova County.

On this occasion, Alexandru Bociu received an invitation from Mrs. Lyu WEIHONG, Vice-Minister, to visit the General Administration of Customs in Beijing and to continue the discussions.
