The Chinese Embassy in Romania organized a thematic press briefing on Thursday, November 3, 2022, about the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). China’s Ambassador: China’s economic power has made a historic leap in the past 10 years – becoming the world’s second largest economy, the largest goods trading country and the second largest consumer market, and the scale of production and foreign exchange reserves rank China first.
China strongly opposes other countries imposing their models on China, and China does not impose Chinese models on others.
According to the Chinese ambassador, the 20th National Congress of the CPC successfully concluded in Beijing, being a very important one, held at a crucial moment, where General Secretary Xi Jinping formulated a strategic plan for China and promoted the great renewal of the Chinese nation.
During the speech, Ambassador Han Chunlin referred to the main content and significance of this congress, focusing on three points: 1. China’s development achievements in the 10 years of the New Era; 2. The goals and tasks of China’s development; 3. The world significance of China’s development.
At the end of his speech, the Chinese ambassador also referred to bilateral relations stating that China and Romania enjoy a traditional friendship and since the establishment of diplomatic relations 73 years ago, the two countries have insisted on mutual respect and equal treatment, and China-Romania relations have always maintained a stable development.
Last year, the volume of bilateral trade exceeded 10 billion USD, the areas of cooperation between the two sides have been continuously expanded, and the common interests have gradually expanded.
