The Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity (MMFTS) is running a series of important programs in 2025 for Romanian families, for young people who, for medical reasons, cannot have children, but also for families at risk.

According to a press release issued by the institution, the IVF program will continue this year and 15,000 RON will be granted for 10,000 in vitro fertilization procedures, the funding being provided from the budget of the Ministry of Labor.

Another program aims to support families at risk with the help of measures committed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). A network of 155 day care centers for children from vulnerable backgrounds will help prevent children from being separated from their families. In these centers, children will receive a hot meal, homework help from specialists and extracurricular activities. The total amount that Romania will access through NRRP for these day care centers amounts to EUR 50,618,944. More than 13.000 children will benefit from the services of the day centers.

The support for families starting out with continue with state-guaranteed loans through the Family Start program. People aged between 18 and 45, with a monthly net income per family member of up to RON 6,000, and single-parent families with a monthly net income per family member of up to RON 7,500, will be able to access this program, which is now undergoing the decision-making transparency procedure.

The subsidized interest rate is 75% and the maximum amount that can be accessed is RON 150,000 for: the purchase of new cars, as well as the purchase of cars adapted for people with disabilities or the purchase of new cars and the settlement of expenses for the adaptation of the car to the special needs of people with disabilities; the payment of rent, up to a maximum of 300 EUR/month, at the National Bank of Romania exchange rate, the payment of studies or certain medical interventions are only part of the eligible expenses of the program.

At the same time, support will continue to be provided to vulnerable families through the Minimum Inclusion Income (over 263,000 beneficiaries).
