The authorities are working on a financing program of over one billion euros to support Romanian producers, especially the food processing part, Finance minister Adrian Caciu announced on Tuesday, at the conference „Economic context and legislation for the development of the pig sector in Romania”, organized by Carmistin and the Association of Romanian Farmers, according to Agerpres.
„Currently, we are working on a financing program of over one billion euros aimed at supporting Romanian producers, especially the food processing part – from the processing of pork to chicken, but also dairy, so that Romanian producers can benefit from the lowest possible production costs,” said Adrian Caciu, according to a post on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Finance.
The Finance minister also said that the Romanian state will continue financing the pig sector through consolidated programs, in addition to those from European funds. He also announced that the current government measures will be supplemented by new financing initiatives, better adapted to the needs of the internal market, and told the participants not to miss the moment that Romania currently has from the perspective of financing possibilities, which must be materialized in the market and in its evolution.
