The budget of the first session of the state aid scheme for entrepreneurs ready to make major investments in Romania will be increased by 750 million RON, the Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos announced on Monday.
„I will propose in the Government supplementing the budget of the first session of the state aid scheme established by Governmental Decision no. 300/2024. Concretely, we want to increase the initially allocated budget by 750 million RON, reaching a total of 1.5 billion RON. I remind you that the budget of the scheme is 2.25 billion RON and aims at major investments, of at least 50 million RON, in industries with tradition in Romania”, Bolos wrote on Facebook.
According to the quoted source, the decision comes against the background of the high quality of the submitted projects, especially in the processing industry – a key field for the modernization and increase of the competitiveness of the Romanian economy.
„Why is this scheme so important? The multiplier effect is essential. Each investment generates value in the chain: it stimulates major investments in less developed regions; it brings new well-paid and specialized jobs; it integrates local suppliers into large projects, generating new business opportunities; contribute to the modernization of industrial processes and the adoption of advanced technologies, companies become more competitive on international markets and stimulates exports”, emphasized Bolos.
He believes that each RON invested causes the benefits to be felt not only by the supported companies, but by the entire economy. „This is the true power of a well-calibrated support: to transform investments into real levers for regional development”, Bolos on the social network.
