Floor leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) deputies Gabriel Andronache announced on Monday in a post on the party’s Facebook page the legislative priorities of the lawmaker group for the fall session, which will begin in early September.
Tax-free pensions for retirement incomes of up to RON 3,000, scrapping double taxation on savings under Pension Pillar II, keeping the flat tax rate on income for a period of 10 years from the coming into force of the Liberal legislative proposal, which is currently in the parliamentary procedure circuit, as well as support for students studying abroad who return to the country are among the legislative priorities of the Liberal deputies.
Also envisaged are the Liberal amendment ‘no tax rises or new taxes/dues in the 2025 state budget law’, the elimination of gambling advertising, support measures for liberal professions, tougher criminal legislation to protect children from abuse by their caregivers, as well as measures to stimulate the absorption of European funds.
The adoption of the Liberal lawmakers’ legislative priorities, as well as the priorities of the PNL ministers (such as the Stamp Duties Bill, the Bill on notaries public, or the Bill on probation counselors) are also on the agenda.
The National Recovery and Resilience Program remains a priority of the PNL Lower House parliamentary group, Andronache also pointed out.
