The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was informed about the Ukrainian Embassy in Bucharest having received on Tuesday morning two suspicious envelopes; the Ministry considers that any form of terrorist threat is „absolutely unacceptable and intolerable, and firmly condemns any action of intimidation against a diplomatic mission”, according to Agerpres.

The competent Romanian institutions responded swiftly, securing the perimeter and collecting the said correspondence. The Embassy of Ukraine offered thanks for the quick and efficient reaction, the Foreign Ministry said in a message.

The envelopes with suspicious content received at the Embassy of Ukraine in Bucharest were collected for forensic examination, the Romanian Intelligence Service announced, stating also that it is working together with all competent institutions on the case.
