Foreign Ministry verifies information on disappearance of 13 Romanians in Spain’s floods

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), through the Romanian Consulate in Castellon de la Plana, is verifying the information on the disappearance of 13 Romanian citizens in the context of the floods in Spain.

According to the MAE, the consular office is in permanent contact with the Spanish authorities, the checks being ongoing.

In the context of these steps, the Romanian Embassy in Madrid is in contact, through the line of the Attachés for Internal Affairs, with the Spanish central authorities.

The representatives of the Romanian Consulate in Castellon de la Plana remain in permanent contact with the competent local authorities and are ready to provide consular assistance if the situation requires it.

At the same time, the representatives of the consular office maintain contact with the citizens who signaled that they are in difficult situations, until the identification of solutions provided by the local authorities.

Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the telephone numbers of the Romanian Consulate in Castellon de la Plana: +34 964.203.331; +34 964.216.008; +34 964.217.836; +34 964.203.234; +34 964.216.172; +34.964.212.446, the calls being redirected to the Contact and Support Center of Romanian Citizens Abroad (CCSCRS) and taken over by Call Center operators on a permanent basis.
