ForMin of Romania and other romanian officials attend the Iftar Dinner in celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan

Iftar is the fast – breaking meal during the Islamic Holy Month of Ramadan.

In observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan and at the invitation of the Arab and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) groups, an Iftar Dinner was hosted with the attendance of Her Excellency Mrs. Luminiţa – Teodora Odobescu, the Minister of
Foreign Affairs of Romania, H.E. Msgr. Dr. Tuomo T. Vimpari, the Apostolic Nuncio, H.E. Mufti Iusuf Muurat, Chief of the Muslim Community of Romania and Reverend Fr. Gheorghe Costea, representative of the Romanian Patriarchate, on March 20, 2024.

During the dinner, Minister Odobescu reiterated Romania’s commitment to respecting all religions and H.E. mentioned about the importance of diversity and religious tolerance.

The Ambassadors engaged in discussions with the Minister and with the Romanian officials on various topics of mutual interest, notably the dire situation in Palestine.

It was reiterated that urgent measures are required from the international community to prevent further humanitarian crises in Palestine and their need for essential humanitarian aid.”
