ForMin Toiu: Last night’s bombing, a clear pattern in Russia’s war of aggression

Last night’s Russian bombing against Ukrainian port infrastructure, with consequences on Romanian soil, „a clear pattern in Russia’s war of aggression,” Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu said on Tuesday.

„Last night’s Russian bombing against Ukrainian commercial ports’ infrastructures resulted in drone fragments falling in an inhabitated area on Romanian territory. These actions are part of a series of similar incidents and represent a clear pattern in Russia’s war of aggression. They follow systematic Russian provocations against the EU and NATO. We will not hesitate to increase the price Russia pays for such reckless and illegal actions,” the representative of Romanian diplomacy wrote on X platform.

She brought to mind that Romania, the EU and the US adopted sanctions that have already had an important impact.

„We are undertaking the preparations for further sanctions and concrete measures that impose a concrete cost on the aggressor,” Toiu added.

A RO-ALERT message was sent on Tuesday morning to residents in the northern area of Tulcea County, informing them of the possibility that objects might fall from the airspace, in the context of the war in Ukraine, with 112 emergency call having reported that such an object might have fallen near Grindu.
