The Minister of Justice, Alina Gorghiu, announced on Tuesday that legal assistance becomes free for victims of several crimes, including sexual harassment and child pornography.

„Legal assistance becomes free for victims of the following crimes: recruitment of minors for sexual purposes, child pornography, sexual harassment, torture, slavery, subjection to forced or compulsory labor. They will receive financial compensation for material damages, moral damages and will have more time to ask for it. Today it was voted on by the Chamber of Deputies”, said Alina Gorghiu, after the adoption by the Senate of the legislative proposal for the amendment and completion of some measures for the provision of information, supporting and protecting victims of crimes.

She adds that she rallied to the initiative of PNL deputy Cristi Bacanu, being „a more than necessary law”.
