The Fundeni Clinical Institute will benefit from European funds worth more than 500 million euros, through the Health Programme, which will be invested in a new building, where all transplant activities will be centralised, Minister of Investment and European Funds Adrian Caciu announced on Monday.
„I said last week that the largest amounts contracted are under the Health Programme (about 2 billion euros) and the Sustainable Development Programme. Today I want to show you concretely what these values mean, with a concrete example: the Fundeni Clinical Institute. With the help of European funds, the Fundeni Clinical Institute will benefit from a new building, with a generous surface area of over 100,000 square metres. All transplant activities will be centralised here, giving more patients a chance at life. The investment is significant, exceeding 500 million euros, and reflects our commitment to provide the best possible medical experience,” said Caciu on the ministry’s Facebook page.
The new building will facilitate both an increase in treatment capacity and a significant development of medical research and innovation, and will have adequate space for educational activities, contributing to the continuous training of medical staff.
