Gabriela Firea posted, Monday morning, on her Facebook page, a message of thanks „to the citizens of Bucharest who voted and who believed in my desire to have a cleaner, safer, more modern city, closer to the people”. According to the latest information from the BEC/AEP, the PSD candidate for mayor of Bucharest obtained 22.46% of the votes. Nicușor Dan thus seems to have won by a wide margin his second term at the head of one of the most coveted city halls in Bucharest, with a score of 46.64%, writes realitatea.net.
„Thank you to all the people of Bucharest who came out to vote and who believed in my desire to have a cleaner, safer, more modern city, closer to the people. I also thank the other citizens of Bucharest who made a different choice. But most of all, I thank my colleagues in the Bucharest organisation – young people, seniors, women, party members and supporters – who worked tirelessly during this last month of the election campaign!”, Firea posted on Facebook.
In her message, the PSD candidate for Mayor said she entered the race later than the other contenders, noting that she had done „everything possible in one month to get Bucharest back on the road we thought was the right one”.
