Ghișeul.ro has a mobile application. Romanians to pay taxes or fines more easily

Published on

Ghiseul.ro, the official online payment system with the state card, has a mobile application as of this week, so Romanians will be able to pay taxes, local taxes, residence parking or fines more easily from their phone.

The Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization (MCID) and the Authority for Digitization of Romania (ADR) organized a joint press conference on this topic on Thursday.

„The main subject is the launch of the Ghiseul.ro application. We are proud to have reached the point where we can present Romanians with a simple, easy-to-use application, an application that is meant to make their lives easier”, stated Minister Sebastian Burduja.

„Any Romanian who downloads the application will discover that it is much easier to pay taxes and local taxes or fines with a few clicks, than to stand in line and wait for your turn at the counter”, he added.

The application can be downloaded on both Android and iOS phones. There are over 400 types of public services, fees and taxes that can be paid through the application, provided by over 1,300 institutions and authorities.

The authorities guarantee that in the next period the application will receive several updates, so that we can pay and rovigneta or we can also download our criminal record.

„My priority from the beginning of the mandate was to make the life of Romanians easier, in a few days we will add an important functionality, the online release of the criminal record”, explained the minister.

According to the cited source, the online criminal record will be introduced by February 1, but it will be downloadable, in the first phase, only from the website.

Currently, the Ghişeul.ro platform is used by almost one and a half million people, and the growth rate of users increased in 2022 by over 350,000, Minister Burduja explained. Since January 1st, more than 65,000 new accounts have been made, that’s 3,000 every day.
