The very good level of the Romanian-Czech relationship was highlighted, on Thursday by the secretary of state of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) Ana Tinca, who received the ambassador of the Czech Republic, Martin Kosatka, to present the accreditation letters.
According to a statement sent by the MAE, during the discussions, the Romanian official highlighted the very good level of the Romanian-Czech relationship, reflected by the dynamic pace of political contacts, based on the traditional bond of friendship and solidarity between the two states, as well as on the close cooperation at the EU and NATO level.
At the same time, the two officials mentioned the special opportunities for intensifying the cooperation between the two countries, including in economic terms and in terms of commercial exchanges, as well as on the sectoral dimension, in various fields.
Also, the Romanian secretary of state highlighted the fact that both the Romanian community in the Czech Republic and the Czech minority in Romania bring added value and substance to the bilateral relationship, by deepening special interpersonal ties with solid historical roots.
The exchange of views also covered topics of interest on the security agenda, such as the situation in Ukraine and support for strengthening the resilience of the Republic of Moldova, the press release mentions.
According to the quoted source, the two sides agreed to deepen, in the next period, the dialogue between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, based on the memorandum of understanding agreed in 2023, by organizing bilateral thematic consultations on various current topics of common interest.
Secretary of state Ana Tinca congratulated the interlocutor for his appointment as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Romania and assured the Czech diplomat of the complete readiness of the Romanian authorities to support the successful fulfillment of objectives he proposed, for consolidating and deepening Romanian-Czech bilateral relationship.
