Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu summoned, on Friday, at 15:00, ministers and representatives of several governmental institutions to discuss the situation of Romanians in Spain affected by the floods and the support measures that the Romanian state can offer them, informs a government press release.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Luminita Odobescu, Internal Affairs minister Catalin Predoiu, Health minister Alexandru Rafila, Transport minister Sorin Grindeanu, representatives of the Department for Romanians Abroad and the Department for Emergency Situations were convened to the meeting.
The Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Romanian Embassy in Madrid and the Romanian Consulate in Castellón de la Plana, is verifying the information on the disappearance of 22 Romanian citizens as a result of the floods in Spain and is in contact with the Spanish authorities to support the necessary steps, the source said.
