Gov’t allocates 160 mln lei for expropriations necessary to build bridge at Ungheni

The Government approved on Wednesday, by decision, the initiation of expropriations necessary for the construction of the bridge over the Prut River at Ungheni, part of the project A8 Union Motorway Targu Mures – Iasi – Ungheni (border with the Republic of Moldova).

According to a press release from the Government, the amount of approximately 160 million lei is allocated to expropriate 7.7 hectares.

The contract for the execution of the Ungheni Bridge was signed in September, and the works could start from the summer of next year, after the handing over of the technical project, according to the cited source.
