Gov’t establishes calendar for the partial local elections: candidacies must be submitted by April 14

The Government adopted, on Tuesday, the decision regarding the electoral calendar for the partial local elections on May 4.

„There will also be partial local elections. The electoral calendar has been established for these elections in 17 electoral districts and for the president of the Bihor County Council – May 4, 2025, and we have the following calendar: April 8 – the date on which the submission of candidacies for the position of mayor can begin, and April 9 – the date on which the submission of candidacies for the office of president of the Bihor County Council can begin. Candidacies for the partial local elections can be submitted until April 14, 2025. The electoral campaign will begin 15 days before the elections, respectively on April 19, and will end on May 3, 2025, at 7.00 am The vote will take place on May 4. A possible second round of voting for the presidency of the County Council will be on May 18,” informs the Government spokesman, Mihai Constantin.
