Gov’t to extend mental health treatments to include addiction prevention

At a meeting today, the Romanian government will approve new measures that support the reorganisation of the National Anti-Drug Agency, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Thursday.

„We are expanding the types of treatments that can be provided at mental health centres to include addiction prevention. We will also regulate more clearly the way of providing services at these centres, quickly and efficiently, so that patients do not have to wait for a long time as their situation worsens,” Ciolacu said at the government meeting.
