Heroes of Revolution left legacy that we are duty-bound to cherish – free and democratic Romania (Bolojan)

Published on

The heroes of the Revolution left a legacy that must be cherished and permanently honoured – a free and democratic Romania, said the interim chairperson of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Ilie Bolojan, on Tuesday.

He delivered a message on the 35th anniversary of the events in Timisoara in December 1989.

”These days mark the 35th anniversary of the beginning of the Romanian Revolution. My thoughts turn with gratitude to those who, in December 1989, had the courage to stand up to the communist regime. They go to those wounded, to those fallen in Timisoara and to the families of all those who fought for freedom. The heroes of the Revolution left us a legacy that we are duty-bound to cherish and honour permanently: a free and democratic Romania,” Bolojan wrote on Facebook.
