The National Strategy for Palliative Care and Home Care will have a clear implementation plan, with objectives, deadlines and concrete results for patients, the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete announced on Monday.
”Today we convened the working group for the development of the National Strategy for Palliative Care and Home Care – a necessary step for people who need real support when life becomes fragile. This strategy will have a clear implementation plan, with objectives, deadlines and concrete results for patients. Not just discussions, but visible changes. It is an important signal: state institutions and civil society are building together, with a common goal. Specialists from healthcare facilities, non-governmental organizations, institutions with direct responsibility and the specialized commissions of the Ministry of Health are working at the same table. I am glad to have Julie Ling, executive director of the European Palliative Care Association, a respected voice in Europe, who brings experience and strategic direction, with me,” the minister wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the way people are cared for when they are vulnerable says everything about the maturity of a healthcare system.
„Through this joint effort, we are laying the foundations for more accessible, more humane and closer to the reality of patients. With seriousness, empathy and responsibility, we are building a healthcare system that truly matters for people,” the minister said. AGERPRES
