Ilie Bolojan resumes mandate as President of the Senate

The President of the Senate, Ilie Bolojan, resumed his office on Monday, after having been interim President of Romania since February 12.

Mircea Abrudean was interim president of the Senate during this period.

Ilie Bolojan left the Cotroceni Presidential Palace on Monday, after handing over the mandate of president to Nicusor Dan, who will hold the office for the next five years.
