Immigration police to carry out information campaign on legal work

Published on

Immigration police will carry out an information campaign between 6 and 12 October, aimed at employers with foreign nationals among their workforce and foreigners who wish to carry out work activities in Romania.

The campaign will take place at national level, in collaboration with representatives from the Territorial Labour Inspectorates, the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI) announced on Friday.

According to the IGI, the campaign aims to provide information on the legal conditions under which work may be carried out on Romanian territory, as well as to explain the rights and obligations of both employers and foreign employees.

‘Through these activities, immigration officers and labour inspectors seek to support the conduct of work activities under legal and safe conditions, to prevent undeclared work, and to contribute to better integration of foreign nationals into Romania’s labour market,’ the IGI informed. AGERPRES
