Individuals can register for this year’s Rabla Auto car scrapping program starting 30 September, the Environment Fund Administration (AFM) announced Thursday.

According to the source, the registration session will remain open until 25 November 2025, 23:59, or until the allocated budget is exhausted.

The total budget for this registration session is 200 million lei, of which 80 million lei is allocated for the purchase of new vehicles with internal combustion engines (including LPG/CNG) or hybrid motorcycles and vehicles, and 120 million lei for the purchase of new plug-in hybrid vehicles, electric motorcycles, and fully electric or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

„The Rabla Auto 2025 program offers individuals the opportunity to access non-reimbursable funding for scrapping old, polluting vehicles and purchasing new, less polluting, and more energy-efficient vehicles. The program provides a simplified procedure and quick access to funding, with applicants registering directly through the online application available on the AFM website, www.afm.ro,” shows the release.

The value of the eco-vouchers granted under this year’s Rabla Auto program for individuals is as follows: 18,500 lei for the purchase of a new fully electric or hydrogen fuel cell vehicle; 15,000 lei for a new plug-in hybrid vehicle or electric motorcycle; 12,000 lei for a new hybrid vehicle; and 10,000 lei for a new vehicle with an internal combustion engine (including LPG/CNG) or a motorcycle.
