Industrial production prices up 0.7pct in May

Industrial production prices overall (domestic and foreign markets) increased 0.7% in May this year compared to the previous month, with the most important increases being recorded in the energy industry, where prices rose 1.2%, according to data the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Tuesday.

Prices recorded in the capital goods industry rose 0.7% in May compared to April, those in the intermediate goods industry increased 0.3% and in the consumer goods industry price increases stood at 0.3%. Price decreases were recorded in the durable goods industry (minus 0.06%).

Compared to May 2023, industrial production prices overall (domestic and foreign markets) decreased 1%.
