The share of innovative enterprises in total enterprises decreased, in Romania, by 1.9 percentage points, in the period 2020-2022 compared to the interval 2018-2020, reaching 8.8%, the data published on Monday by the National Institute of Statistics reads.
In the analyzed period, the share of innovative enterprises, in total enterprises, decreased, compared to the 2018-2020 period, both in the industry sector and in the service sector, as follows: in industry by 1.3 percentage points, and in services by 0.6 percentage points.
On the other hand, compared to the total number of enterprises in each sector, the trend remains the same, ie services have a percentage point higher than industry (9.3% in services, compared to 8.3% in industry).
As in the period 2018-2020, in the period 2020-2022, as a whole, large enterprises with at least 250 employees were twice as innovative as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
