Acting president Ilie Bolojan on Friday promulgated the normative act that modifies the Law on Higher Education no. 199/2023, in order to introduce a new category of personnel among the teaching staff and auxiliary teaching positions, namely those within university sports clubs.

The normative act aims to modify art. 198 items (2) and (5) of the Law on Higher Education no. 199/2023.

„The teaching staff is made up of teaching/research staff and auxiliary teaching/research staff from higher education institutions, university libraries, central university libraries and university sports clubs. In military, intelligence, law enforcement and national security higher education, the teaching staff also includes military instructors, intelligence instructors, as well as public order instructors,” the promulgated law states.

The normative act also stipulates that „auxiliary teaching positions are established in the appendices to the salary laws, with the possibility of their completion by order of the minister of education and research and the minister of labour, family, youth and social solidarity, depending on the needs of higher education institutions, central university libraries or university sports clubs.”
