Internal vote to elect new chairman of Save Romania Union has started

The internal vote for the election of the new chairman of Save Romania Union (USR) started Monday morning, will be held online and will end on Wednesday at 12:00, the political party announced.

According to the cited source, before the voting started, two of the candidates announced that they were withdrawing their candidacies for the position of USR chairman.

Thus, in the first two hours of voting,namely until 10:00, 2,000 members expressed their choice for a candidate.

The first round of elections will take place on Monday and Tuesday, with the possibility of a second round on June 27-28.

The list of candidates is as follows: Filip Vasile-Gabriel, Hossu Radu-Mihai, Lasconi Elena-Valerica, Seidler Cristian-Gabriel.

After the election of the USR chairman, the new USR National Bureau will be established by the vote of the delegates to the Congress.

The 24 new members of the new National Bureau will be elected in the party’s Congress, convened by chairman Catalin Drula for June 29.
