Iohannis: Minority gov’t not a good solution during crisis

Published on

President Klaus Iohannis on Thursday said that a minority government is not a good solution during a crisis.

„In a period of crisis, a minority government is not a good solution,” said the head of state in Brussels, before attending the European Council meeting, when asked if a right-wing minority government supported by the Social Democratic Party (PSD) could be a viable option.

When asked if early elections could occur in the near future, the president replied, „I hope we don’t reach that point. I believe that, in the end, wisdom will prevail.”
